The uni_one® timber composite window system, from Uniform Architectural Ltd, is setting new standards of excellence and innovation throughout the UK – and is thereby ‘raising the bar’ on what can be provided to help you meet the needs of your clients and customers.
1. The most durable and aesthetically pleasing external aluminium frame
The external aluminium frame can have welded corner joints, which are powder-coated after welding, for the toughest, most aesthetic solution, giving maximum protection in all locations, including corrosive coastal locations.
2. No need to ever paint the internal window frames
They are not only engineered into 3 laminations and finger jointed for extreme dimensional stability – but they are also wrapped in any one of 12 beautiful protective ‘SILK™’ veneers, which are highly resistant to impact, water, chemicals and heat – but which also require no repeat application of paint or stain, like other composites. Ever!
3. Maximise incoming light with the narrowest frames
Format38™ open-out casement windows provide the narrowest frame profiles of any timber/aluminium composite window, at 38mm – which simply means one thing – ‘less frame, more light!’!
4. No visible fixings for integral Juliet balconies
Juliet balconies can now be provided, factory fitted to the window, with either metal bars or solid glass screen. Certified for guarding up to 2 metres wide; No visible fixings; No extra trades.
5. Sound reduction and protection against the elements
Uni_one windows and doors are available with the ultimate Passive House thermal insulation, certified to below 0.8 U-value – PLUS – equally significant acoustic insulation, certified to Rw46 for maximum sound reduction, all in the same uni_one window or door.
All gaskets are vulcanised at our factory, as standard, to ensure a perfectly continuous weather and sound seal all around the frame for maximum performance.
6. Crane-lift the windows straight off the truck with certified steel crates
All of the above, can be delivered on Uniform’s unique and patented, certified steel crates, for lifting by crane, straight off the bed of the 40’ truck, through the sliding roof, up to whatever floor is required – then, after offloading the crate is easily demountable for flat pack storage before collection from site and returning to our factory.
7. The tallest and widest doors and windows.
Due to structurally bonding the glass to the timber in all opening sashes, great strength is conveyed to the frame, enabling much larger windows and doors to be produced, which is the preference of most architects currently. By combining this with innovative hinges, designed and patented by Uniform, further enables doors up to 90kgs be produced – compared with the 45kgs maximum from most competitors.
